One of my all time favorite brand of guitars is without a doubt Paul Reed Smith. Also known as PRS, these babies are kings of tone and some of the highest quality you will ever find. Used by an infinite list of recognized players, these guitars are polished and incredible. Should you be looking for a new high end guitar, well, you are in luck. Today I am going to write about three of my favorite PRS guitars.
As a starting point, I am going to make a recommendation that might surprise some of the PRS enthusiasts of the world. What I suggest, is looking first at the Paul Reed Smith Mira, as this is one of the newer lines from PRS. The Mira is an excellent choice both because of the price point and the wide array of features. The PRS Mira has incredible design and can really take your setup to the next level.
The most well known and renown of the PRS guitars has to be the Paul Reed Smith Custom 22, which is an amazing thing of beauty, truly. The Custom 22 and 24 models from PRS are probably some of the best selling guitars from PRS. The Custom 22 is incredible when it comes to tone, and is also a versatile guitar depending on the type of style you are going for. I once had a good friend in high school who showed me his Custom PRS, and I was stunned by how amazing the thing really was.
Probably the only other PRS that I would suggest you look at is the PRS McCarty, which is probably somewhere in between the Custom 22 and Mira in terms of appeal. The McCarty is just amazing and will blow your mind in terms of tone. The McCarty has a specially developed pickup that suites the sound and tone of more blues and funk players.

The sun was shining (not always something you see every day in Washington) and I was feeling good. I just just left my first visit with a chiropractor after 10 years of headaches and neck pain.

I really didn’t stop to think about what the long-term effects of taking all that medicine might be doing to my stomach and liver. Any medication must be processed by the body, and you want to make that as smooth as possible.
It wasn’t such an issue (or so I thought) when I was young, but it started to get worse after I passed the age of 40. Nothing like taking something for the pain and not feeling right for the rest of the day.
It’s only when that stuff finally cleared my system that I felt good again.
It feels like I’ve been waiting years to get my health insurance to do anything useful for me. I have one of those types plans where if I need a helicopter ride to the hosptial after a major injury, I’ll be glad to have it.

After selling the M.I. Hummel line of Goebel figurines since 1935, Goebel shut its doors in October 2008. Problems began years before with the owner filing bankruptcy in 2006. In 2009 Hoechst Porcelain located near Frankfurt, Germany founded the firm Manufaktur Roedental and they acquired not only the copyrights to the Hummel line of Goebel figurines but also the production facilities. They have hired back many of the former craftsmen and production of these beautiful figurines is again underway. Since everything is still made by hand, one figurine can take up to twelve weeks to produce.
This year is the 100th anniversary of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel’s birth (she is the artist whose drawings the figurines are modeled after) and the new company is hoping this will respark an interest in the pieces. Many new porcelain figurines are being produced for the occasion and hopefully the tradition of the Goebel figurines will be carried on.
